Indian Fritillary—–Argyreus hyperbius

Indian Fritillary-----Argyreus hyperbius (Linnaeus,1763)

Just outside my apartment I captured another butterfly. Turns out to be an Indian Fritillary which is quite common is Asia. There is a small hatch going on and the birds are going crazy. There is a type of morning dove that attacks these butterflies in flight. I watched this bird devour one today.

The Indian Fritillary Argynnis hyperbius is butterfly of the Nymphalid or Brush-footed Butterfly family.

Unidentified dove
